aBOUT ME

Visual expression, for me, has become an essence of struggle, an essence of self, and an embrace of my reality. I had always done art as a child, but I had finally found its true strength as I found the true power of myself. Intention, exploration, and play. I began illustrating my diary entries, poems, dreams, visions. I realized that I had something new to say, and just like a painting, with focus and intention, I can begin to isolate my lived moments, pick out instances, choice by choice, and alter them - making art an embodiment of my spiritual practice, perception of the cosmos, and personal experience. Comfortability is compliance, and dissatisfaction drives my betterment, and I use this technical expression as a corporal medium to do so. This is why I continue and this is what makes the work meaningful.

Though I always saw visual arts as a dead end for myself, I sought it out. I was working on my education in natural resource management, but still studied to recieve my AA in both Fine Arts and Culture, along with Studio Arts. Getting a job in tattooing was the switch in me though, and I gave everything else up to double down on my artistry.

Now, with tattooing, I most enjoy expressing my perceived forms of divinity - flowers, bodies, psychedelia, birds, and yes, eyeballs.
